Dr Lili Kaplan grew up in the Philadelphia area. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania honors program. She obtained her Medical Doctor degree in 2006 at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the best medical schools in the country. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, Scheie Eye Institute where she received several prestigious awards including a National Eye Institute award for her research. In 2011, she graduated from a Medical Retina Fellowship at Duke University Eye Center, a top Retina fellowship.
She has authored a number of publications and has presented at many international conferences. Dr Kaplan is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
She has extensive experience treating age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, macular edema and other retinal conditions. She enjoys providing world class care for her patients and believes that every patient should be treated like family.
In her free time, she enjoys exercise, dance, reading, skiing and spending time with family and friends.
